Maybe 03:45
You've been out there on the run Said you're lookin' for someone Maybe someone's lookin' for you You've got a mighty big space to fill Ya ever thought about standing still? Maybe someone's lookin' for you You're afraid of what you might find and that's all right Everybody's runnin', usually away from somethin' You've been out there on the run Said you're lookin' for someone Maybe someone's lookin' for you Said you're trying to replace Somethin' you had, but you wasted it You're afraid of what you might find and that's all right Everybody's runnin', usually away from somethin' Maybe someone's lookin' for you

The Ocean 03:23
You came to me in a dream last night, awaking my emotion. The question came in the morning light: have you been to the ocean? There was a man there when the dream began. I'm certain I don't know him. His clothes were loud and his skin was tan. Have you been to the ocean? Oh, the visions the night brings No, it don't mean nothin' Just yes or no is all I need Have you been to the ocean? I know you have a new love now and talk about devotion. He was with you in my dream somehow. Have you been to the ocean? It's just rare that I remember dreams And it's been years since you and me Any chance you're wearing a brand new ring? And have you been to the ocean? Of course it was you - I saw your face. Of course you were drinking champagne. Yes, you laughed at the crashing waves. Have you been to the ocean? Hey, forget about it all Sorry for the call... And as you started to speak, I lost the signal But you came to me in a dream last night, awaking my emotion. The question came in the morning light: have you been to the ocean? have you been to the ocean? Have you been back to the ocean?

Dancin' alone, ten dollars in the jukebox I won't go home till my last song plays Dancin' alone, must be a Friday night Must be the only joint in town With Bobby Charles on the jukebox Maker's Mark or Baker's 7 You can have anything you want I want bourbon on the rocks And Bobby Charles on the jukebox It's been a year since I've been with anyone It's been a thousand tears ago since she and I were one It's been a lot to think about, more than enough to drink about I try not to think out loud about it, but actions are louder Than Bobby Charles on the jukebox Maker's Mark or Baker's 7 You can have anything you want I want bourbon on the rocks And Bobby Charles on the jukebox They say give it time, they say give it space I say give it a rest, I've had it to here with cliches I've had to hear everyone's advice Now I just want to hear the sound of bourbon being poured over ice With Bobby Charles on the jukebox Maker's Mark or Baker's 7 You can have anything you want I want bourbon on the rocks And Bobby Charles on the jukebox

Hallways 02:55
Here we go again is the way it began It ended in a crash and burn A couple bruised hearts, my head in my hands But everybody lived and learned This is how you go your way This is how I go mine And when the lights get dim I'll see you in The hallways of my mind Thinkin' on the crime of 3/4 time Thinkin' on the broken trust Drinkin' doesn't get you off of my mind Hell, it doesn't even quench my thirst This is how you go your way This is how I go mine And when the lights get dim I'll see you in The hallways of my mind So you can keep your pride and your head held high Keep your goodbye kiss No need to read between the lines We both know what this is This is how you go your way This is how I go mine And when the lights get dim I'll see you in The hallways of my mind

Rock Out 04:08
Everything's broken in the promised land Everyone knows about promises, man I wanna live large, I wanna dream big I wanna rock out like a high school kid I'm kinda down on the cell phone tower And I'm kinda down on the man of the hour Yeah, I'm kinda down on the life I live I just wanna rock out like a high school kid It doesn't take much to get my kicks But the game is rigged and my income fixed When my ship comes in, I'm gonna bang my head I'm gonna rock out like a high school kid Been thinkin' 'bout my old band All our big dreams, all our big plans I know what I need and it ain't on the Net I wanna rock out like a high school kid I'm gonna close my bedroom door I'm gonna turn my amp up way past 4 "You Shook Me All Night Long" is blastin' I'm jumpin' and kickin' and screechin' and laughin' Gonna play my AC-DC vinyl Put a poster of Malcolm up on my wall "You Shook Me All Night Long" is blastin' It's blastin', it's blastin'! Everything's broken in the promised land Everyone knows about promises, man I wanna live large, I wanna dream big I wanna rock out like a high school kid I'm kinda down on the cell phone tower And I'm kinda down on the man of the hour Yeah, I'm kinda down on the life I live I just wanna rock out like a high school kid

He had a southern accent A Rickenbacker guitar Went from the streets of Gainesville To the top of the charts And he took it on faith Took it to the heart I was a young rock 'n' roller When he was in his prime He taught me even the losers Get lucky sometimes Yeah, and I took it on faith Straight into this heart of mine When you're runnin down a dream with a rock 'n' roll band You've gotta take it on faith as far as you can Oh yeah, all right I'm feelin' kinda blue Soon as I heard I knew this great big world Just got a lot less cool He's out there now among the wildflowers And tonight, I'm singin' his songs Some things are over Some things go on When you're runnin down a dream with a rock 'n' roll band You've gotta take it on faith He took it on faith You've gotta take it on faith as far as you can Yeah, I'm gonna take it on faith as far as I can He had a southern accent

The Mystery 03:32
Rainy streets in Murten, a quiet day in early spring I'm wishin' I spoke a little German or knew a song to sing I'm a thousand miles away from everyone I've ever known But I'm making new friends and they're makin' me feel at home Everywhere you go, there you are Even in the day time we're all out underneath the stars If you're livin' based on what you think you know or what you can see You might be missin' out on the mystery My head is full of questions, my heart is full of thanks Not much in my pockets, a hotel key & 50 Francs This past week I haven't had much sleep, not taking many naps I've been taking walks, getting lost, not wanting any maps because Everywhere you go, there you are Even in the day time we're all out underneath the stars If you're livin' based on what you think you know or what you can see You might be missin' out on the mystery Down another path not knowing where I'll end up next It's more than I can ask this feelin' that I've been blessed Here's a woman walkin her dog and I get down on one knee I pet him and grin, hey, he speaks the same language as me, He says Everywhere you go, there you are Even in the day time we're all out underneath the stars If you're livin' based on what you think you know or what you can see You might be missin' out on the mystery Rainy streets in Murten, a quiet day in early spring

I've been in and out of love Ain't nothin' new there goin' on Lasts a little while then enough's enough You can always get over it when it's gone I feel all right, yeah I feel all right Right where I should be Be a long night, I'll be a little bit lonely A little bit lonely's just enough for me Sometimes you fall in deep That's pretty cool for about a week Then ya find yourself wishin' you were someplace else With just enough space to be by yourself I feel all right, yeah I feel all right Right where I should be Be a long night, I'll be a little bit lonely A little bit lonely's just enough for me You've got your blinders on when it's goin strong Yeah, ya like it like that You get to holdin' on, then somethin's going wrong I feel all right, yeah I feel all right Right where I should be Be a long night, I'll be a little bit lonely A little bit lonely's just enough for me I feel all right, yeah I feel all right Right where I should be Be a long night, I'll be a little bit lonely A little bit lonely's just enough for me A little bit lonely's just enough for me Hey, I'm a little bit lonely
